Vhrinda Bhuta

Vrinda Bhuta received her Juris Doctor from the SMU Dedman School of Law. She is a graduate of California State University at Long Beach where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a minor in Communication Studies. During her time at California State University, Ms. Bhuta served as President of the College of Liberal Arts Student Council and received a Mediation Certificate, a Legal Studies Certificate, an Exceptional Student Achievement Award, and a Student Leader Award. She was also admitted as a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS).

At SMU's Dedman School of Law, she served as a representative for her class at student body association meetings. She was also a student member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Corporate Law Association (CLA), and the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA). During law school, Ms. Bhuta interned with judges in the Collin County Courthouse and participated in Moot Court competitions. She also served as a volunteer tax preparer with VITA (the IRS’s volunteer tax assistance program). Additionally, she was a student attorney in SMU’s Small Business and Trademark Clinic.

Vrinda prides herself in making a difference in her community. She has dedicated a third of her life to helping children succeed both professionally and academically. Her goal is to use her knowledge of the law to help those around her find a voice in our legal justice system.
